In 2017, over half the population in Sub-Saharan Africa had no bank account. That's for good reason—the fees are too high, the closest branch can be miles away, and nobody takes cards. Without access to financial institutions, people are forced to keep their savings under the mattress. Small business owners rely on lenders who charge extortionate rates. Parents spend hours waiting in line to pay school fees in cash.
We're solving this by building financial services that just work: no account fees, instantly available, and accepted everywhere. In places where electricity, water and roads don't always work, you can still send money with Wave. In 2017, we launched a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposit, withdrawal, and peer-to-peer and business payments. Now, we have millions of users across six countries and are growing fast.

How you'll help us achieve it
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Treasury Analyst to join our Treasury Department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of treasury operations, administrative support, and financial analysis. The Treasury analyst will play a key role in supporting the daily processing, assisting with ongoing projects, and contributing to strategic initiatives.
In this role, you'll:
- Update documents with banks to ensure compliance with internal policies and banking regulations.
- Perform data entry, document preparation, and basic financial analysis.
- Compile, classify, store, and forward all proofs of processing to the requesting departments (Agents Operation, Liquidity, Finance, Payments).
- Support ongoing projects such as automating booking and payments.
- Support on cash collection costs sharing projects with banks.
- Provide additional manpower to help meet project deadlines and deliverables.
- Help update flow forecasting and decision-making for cash allocation.
- Follow up on bank fees and assist in the analysis of the Treasury's charges and incomes.
- Provide assistance, particularly on data analysis, for the banks’ discussions.
Key details
- 6-month fixed-term contract.
- You'll work from our office in Côte d’Ivoire.
- Work authorization in Côte d’Ivoire is required.

Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or other related fields.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in French & English.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of bank’s processing, financial concepts, and analysis.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
