In 2017, over half the population in Sub-Saharan Africa had no bank account. That's for good reason—the fees are too high, the closest branch can be miles away, and nobody takes cards. Without access to financial institutions, people are forced to keep their savings under the mattress. Small business owners rely on lenders who charge extortionate rates. Parents spend hours waiting in line to pay school fees in cash.
We're solving this by building financial services that just work: no account fees, instantly available, and accepted everywhere. In places where electricity, water and roads don't always work, you can still send money with Wave. In 2017, we launched a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposit, withdrawal, and peer-to-peer and business payments. Now, we have millions of users across six countries and are growing fast.

How you'll help us achieve it
Wave is now the largest financial institution in Senegal, with over 7 million users. And we’re still in the early days of our product roadmap and potential impact on people’s everyday lives.
As a Payment Sales Representative, you will be part of the corporate team responsible for prospecting and acquiring new corporate businesses. You will also help create revenue-generating commercial products that corporates will appreciate to increase our non-P2P revenue.
In this role, you'll;
- Source business partnerships for Wave's business products.
- Participate in the elaboration of the sales strategy.
- Figure out how we grow our business customer base day after day.
- Build relationships to enable Wave to grow and operate effectively in Senegal.
- Provide feedback from daily activities.
- Support the Payment strategy in specific locations within Senegal.
- Prospect and acquire new corporates at targeted locations.
- Provide feedback from daily field operations that impact other departments and activities, such as marketing and agent management teams.
- Supporting the growth of our operational activities - figuring out how we can grow our merchant customer base daily within an assigned region of Senegal.

- Location: You'll work from our office in Dakar, Senegal.
- You must have work authorization in Senegal.
- This is a permanent position.

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position - sales management, corporate B2B sales, ideally in an international company, in the financial or mobile money sector.
- Fluency in French, Wolof and a good command of English.
- Previous experience conducting field-related merchant activities, including acquiring and onboarding merchants.
