How to delete fingerprints using the EMBASSY® Security Center Preboot Manager
 

The following steps outline how to delete fingerprints using the ESC enrollment wizard. Click here for detail instructions on deleting users fingerprints.

  • Click Start/All Programs
  • Navigate to Wave Systems Corp.
  • Choose EMBASSY Security Center
  • Click Preboot Manager
  • Click Enroll
  • Type in your System password
  • Click Next
  • Click Select
  • Click Locations (This allows you to choose local users or domain users. Keep in mind if you are doing this operation to apply the Netbios Patch only domain user fingerprints need to be deleted.)
  • Click Advanced
  • Enter part or all of the username you want to un-enroll fingerprints for.
  • Click "Find Now";
  • Choose the user you want and click OK
  • Click OK
  • Click Next
  • Click Next
  • Enter passphrase
  • Click Next
  • Swipe your finger to authenticate
  • Click Next
  • You are now presented with a screen that shows 2 hands.
  • Click on a fingerprint. A screen will appear that says: "Do you want to delete this fingerprint?"
  • Click Yes
  • Continue this process until all fingerprints have been deleted.

    Please note: If the user is no longer available or you have formatted or renamed the computer, please reference Removing All Fingerprints on the Harddrive and UPEK Reader.
